One for the children

small, green, children's size cart

This small green cart (mixed up with the fore-end of the wicker chaise) was used by the Hasell-McCosh children to ride about in the Park. It was not an elegant vehicle, but it was safe: it had to be mounted from the back, so nobody could be run over by the wheel while trying not to be left behind; the high sides prevented anyone getting a hand in the wheel; it was the right size for a small safe pony; and above all, for three young lads, it was robust!
